Today we listened to a guest lecture from an engineering firm in Copenhagen. They were part of the project to connect Denmark to Sweden with a bridge and have created countless large bridges all over the world. They also worked on the new trains to make Qatar more accessible during the World Cup. They realized the labor was not ethical for the World Cup projects so they backed out of what they could and completed any projects remaining in Qatar. Most of the presentation was talking about unfair labor practices and how to avoid getting involved with something like that. I also worked on my group project, which is about a company called Duferco.
