Today my two roommates and I went to Sweden! The train ticket from Copenhagen to the nearest city in Sweden, Malmo, cost about $11. It takes about 50 minutes to get there and the trains were nice. We found a nice spot in Malmo for brunch. I had panzanella and burrata. It was my first time trying panzella but I liked it.

Then, we walked around Malmo a little but. It is a small city but has a lot of global businesses in its small city center. PwC, EY, Deloitte, and KPMG were all located in 4 buildings next to each other which was strange to see. The city also has a castle, which doesn't look much like a castle. They have a VW bus on display there which transported people in concentration camps to safety in Sweden.

We also went to a little candy shop in Malmo. The owner was very friendly and showed us all the traditional Swedish candies. We made sure to try the real Swedish fish, which taste pretty similar to American Swedish Fish, but are in an assortment of colors and flavors. The food and candy is cheaper than in Copenhagen. I got around 2.5 pounds of candy for $5, which I think would be more expensive in Danish and American candy stores similar to this one.

Then, we took a 10 minute train to Lund (pronounced Loond). Lund was a little more historic than Malmo but still a small city. We went in a church which was pretty creepy and had a lot of tombs in the basement. We then checked out some second hand stores and walked around a garden. It started pouring on us so we went inside a small cafe where I had this cinnamon roll. We then took the train home. It was a packed train because our first train was having a mechanical issue so we were transferred to another one. We had to stand and it was very uncomfortable but we were happy to make it home.
