Today and I had a field trip later in the day so my morning was free. I started by going to Starbucks (yay Cool Lime Refresher!) and went to Hay, which is a popular interior design store here. They had cool candles and glassware and also had nice views from the windows on higher floors.

After eating lunch at home, I headed to my field trip at DFDS. It is a shipping company that primarily uses ferries. They are required to be carbon neutral by 2050, so it was interesting to hear how they plan to turn their current ferries into something more environmentally friendly. Since ships last well over 25 years, they will have to make alterations to current ships rather than purchase new ones. They also talked about purchasing electric semis and how those might improve in the future. It was a really interesting presentation and the business' building was new and modern.

After spending a few hours there, I headed home and stopped at McDonald's. I got a quinoa and bell pepper burger and fries. The fries are not cooked with beef fat in Copenhagen like they are in the US. The buns on the burgers were also some type of whole grain which wasn't as good but probably much healthier. It was also interesting that there were no pickles on the burger, but it was hard to figure out the ordering kiosk so maybe they were available. Overall, it was really good but much more expensive than McDonald's in the US.

Tomorrow, we have a guest speaker for class and I am planning on going to a museum later in the day.
