I finally slept last night! I woke up and went to class. I was able to get myself there without using directions, which I was very proud of myself for. There is a Starbucks near my class so I went in and got a Cool Lime Refresher. I was very excited to find it because it was discontinued in the United States years ago and is my favorite drink.

After class, I walked around and went to a store my professor recommended called Magasin. He said it is the best place to buy souvenirs for people but it was just a giant department store. It was still interesting to see because they had a lot of European brands that are not in the United States.

My class met again a bit later for a field trip. We started in my professor's neighborhood and saw some small businesses he goes to. I tried a veggie burger that had asparagus instead of a patty. I didn't enjoy that part but I bet the regular burgers are really good.

My professor introduced us to an owner of a bakery called Daddy's Bakes. He is a small business owner who focuses on using organic ingredients and being sustainable. He only makes food when it is ordered so he has no food waste. His packaging is also completely recyclable. It was interesting to hear about.

We also got to go to Denmark Statistics, which is a company that compiles data about the people of Denmark. We learned that over 85% of their eligible voting population votes, which is a lot more than in the United States.

I stopped at a grocery store on my way home from my field trip to get something for dinner. I have been looking for a store with some premade options or something that I could microwave but I haven't found a store with good options yet so I ended up making pasta tonight. I got a package of Skittles but they are very different than in the US. They are not shiny and have a different taste. The purple is black current instead of grape which I do not enjoy.

It was a long day so I didn't go anywhere after dinner but I don't have a field trip tomorrow so I will probably explore the city on my own after class.
